Floating Duck House

Transform your pond into an inviting backyard wildlife sanctuary!

A Floating Duck House!

The impressive Cedar Floating Duck House enhances your pond by adding a wonderful architectural element. More importantly, it provides a safe pond habitat for ducks and other waterfowl. Enjoy the festive antics of domestic or migratory waterfowl as they bask on the platform or care for their young. Once located in your pond, the Floating Duck House shelters eggs and ducklings and increases protection from predators. Duck ladders located on the sides of the Floating Duck House welcome ducks with easy access onto the platform. The floating duck houses are built with pressure treated material then we put cedar on the outside then we seal with a Thompson Water Sealant.

Pond Heaters

Floating Pond Heaters

Winter pond temperatures can remain very cold for months in our climate. Pond life needs oxygen even during hibernation. If ice covers the surface of the pond oxygen can't get in and toxic gasses can't get out.

If you live in an area where the pond will be covered over by ice, then it may be necessary to install a De Icer.

  • With a floating plate, the heater can float on the water surface. It is suitable for application in various ponds and gardens to create a deiced area so as to prevent fishes from dying of shortage of oxygen in cold winter.

  • There are some drinking holes on the floating plate specially designed for small birds, through which, they can drink freely during iced days. And the bowl-like place is also incorporated into both sides of the floating plate for holding bird food to attract small lovely birds. It helps add more liveliness to your iced ponds and gardens.

  • The heating tube must be properly submersed into water till the water level mark on the heater is reached or it couldn't work properly.

  • The heater is equipped with a thermal protector. When the water is too shallow to reach the water level mark on the heater, the thermal protector will work automatically to cut off the power so as to avoid any possible accidents.

Grinder Pump or Sewage Ejector Pump?

Is a Grinder Pump or Sewage Ejector Pump appropiate for your application?

Grinder Pumps are needed when you have a septic tank on your property and you need to transfer the sewage to a city main. A regular grinder pump can be used for this application. However if your city main is pressurized, you will need a high pressure grinder pump, like the Little Giant 2 HP Grinder Pump. This pump has enough PSI to push the slug into the high pressure main. A regular grinder pump would be used in any other application where the transfer is not a pressurized main.

Sewage Ejector Pumps are needed when you have an additional sewage holding tank that is located below the level of the main septic system on your property. A sewage ejector pump is prefered because it does not grind the sewage it just transfers it up to the main septic system, allowing the solids to go to the main septic and break down naturally, and the liquids to drain into the leach system.

Floating Pond Fountains

Floating Fountains for Pond Aeration

Small ponds are becoming increasingly popular in both residential and commercial areas. These ponds left without aeration, especially during the summer months when nutrient levels increase, can have a population explosion of algae. When this happens, noxious odors are released and fish and plant life die off creating an unsightly scene.

An effective way to prevent or remedy this situation is by using a floating pond fountain. The pond fountain circulates water, adding oxygen to your pond. Extra oxygen added to the water promotes healthier fish and an improved ecosystem, while simultaneously clarifying murky discolored pond water. The rugged construction of our fountains perform exceptionally well in all pond conditions, and the vibrant, beautiful shape of our spray patterns create a soothing and visually appealing display.
